We are looking for a motivated team member to handle Product Sales duties for OSCO Safety. This individual will be responsible for uncovering new opportunities, converting those prospects into active customers and building a full sales pipeline. As a part of that customer conversion process, those aforementioned clients may need a smooth transition to either a Sales Account Managers or Inside Sales Representative. This individual should be extremely invested in the growth of the organization and must be independent, self-sufficient and willing to take on new tasks.
Job qualifications include but are not limited to:
- Previous experience in sales or business development
- Willingness and ability to make outgoing calls to potential or existing clients
- Professional communication skills (in-person, video calls, phone calls, email, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed
Job duties will include:
- Executing the Steps of a Sale
- An individual in Product Sales should be familiar with, understand and be able to execute the steps of a sale.
- Generating Opportunities
- An individual in product sales should be able to generate opportunities through multiple methods.
- Handling Manufacturer-Supplied Leads
- The Product Sales person should obtain leads supplied by our manufacturing partners and act as a regional distributor for their product line(s).
- Identifying the Correct Opportunities
- The Product Sales person should be able to identify opportunities/projects that are a “good fit” for OSCO Safety.
- Providing Sales Presentations
- The Product Sales person shall provide sales presentations/offerings for all viable opportunities and be able to determine when a sales presentation/offering is warranted.
- The Product Sales person should identify product application(s), determine usability and select the correct products for an opportunity.
- Pricing Strategies
- The Product Sales person should use OSCO Safety pricing standards and appropriate margins to offer adequate pricing for new sales leads, existing customers and more based upon repeat business vs. new customer, size of the opportunity and market value in that order.
- Quote Follow-Up / Lead Tracking
- The Product Sales person should follow-up on open quotes, pending orders, etc. in a timely manor to understand and stay current on all opportunities.
- Order Entry
- The Product Sales person should understand order entry process for unforeseen circumstances that may require the need to enter sales orders.
- Handling Customer Interactions
- The Product Sales person shall maintain consistent contact with all accounts and prospects directly or indirectly under their purview.
- Working with OSCO Team Members
- Product Sales person should work with other OSCO teammates to learn, understand and execute our processes efficiently.
- Product Sales person should work closely with direct team members.
- Offering Input on OSCO Company Direction
- The Product Sales person should be able to troubleshoot issues and offer ways for us to improve toward our future goals.
- Customer Relationship Management
- The Product Sales person should have a clear and current understanding of our customers' short-term and long-term business goals and opportunities.
- Selling
- The Product Sales person should be able to handle both small and large projects/customers.
- The Product Sales person should be able to close on new business opportunities without direct assistance.
- Sales Meetings and Training Sessions
- The Product Sales person should participate in sales meetings held by Sales Manager or other relevant teammates.
- Fill-in Duties
- The Product Sales person should be able to handle day-to-day duties of Sales Account Manager and Inside Sales Representative when/if required.
